Block Adobe Hosts

Hello everybody, hope you're doing fine!
Now, I'm using a W7 64bit PC. In october I installed thethingy's Photoshop CS6 extended, followed the instructions and it was all set. Mostly basic edits, thus I worked without any problem. But apparently I thought I installed it how I should.
Yesterday I needed to use the 3D function, and I saw that it wasn't even there. Reading through forums I learned that only the extended version has the 3D option. When I go to Help > About it doesn't read extended. So reading through forums I saw that I kinda messed up the installation.
I guess I didn't replace the amtlib.dll files and I'm certain that I didn't modify the host file, (or maybe the thus said the software 'called home' and the adobe database removed my amtlib.dll) because I thought that shutting the network connection during installation would be enough.
I'm almost certain I installed it as trial, and I guess I didn't do the open as trial, then close it, then replace the DLL's. While I'm certain I didn't at all run as trial the 'Bridge' software, as user Nelly said in another forum

Now apparently I need help. A noob question: can I replace now the amtlib.dll files? Is there any problem if I do?
And if I can do it, I should let you know that I have Adobe Illustrator CS6 too (by thethingy too), and if I'm not wrong, it too uses the Bridge program. Does it mess things up if I paste there the amtlib.dll that came with Photoshop CS6?
And PS, I installed both 32 + 64bit installers, for whatever it's worth as an additional information.
..
I know it's a bit lengthy, but I would appreciate if you read it, and not give me a low effort solution (absolutely no offence intended), and tell me to just unistall and reinstall it, unless it isn't really necessary.
I'm a student and I bought the pc with savings and although I can't afford a new pc, I hate too send it to the tech shops for repair, any intervention is wrong. So I worry about the steps I make, and installing, uninstalling, writing/erasing/rewriting the registry files, I don't want it.
Thanks in advance, cheers
